Saving a Road Section

If you would like to save a road cross-section, with the selected attributes, click the 'Save' button in the Panel header, and fill in a short name, and a brief description in the form that pops up. To save a Road Section directly into a Folder, click the Save button next to the Folder name.

Open a Saved Road Section

To Open a previously saved Road Cross-Section, find the name in the list within the 'Saved Road Sections' panel, and click on the section name.

Delete a Saved Road Section

If you have no more use for a saved section, click the 'trashcan' icon: . A popup box with options will appear, click 'Confirm' or 'Cancel'.

Create a Folder

You can create "Folders" to store collections of Road Sections in. To create a Folder, click the "New Folder" button and fill in the desired details. Folders can be moved into other folders, or created in other Folders. To move a Road Section into a Folder, simply drag it using the Handle button

Share a Road Section or Folder

It is possible to Share a Road Cross-Section or a Folder to another user of ViDA: Click on the 'share' icon: and a popup box will appear. Enter the name of the user you wish to share the road section with, then click 'Search for User'. A new form will appear with a list of ViDA Users that match the name you entered. Choose one and click 'Share Section'.

Remove a Share

You can also remove a Share by opening the 'Share' popup box and clicking the 'Remove Share' icon: which appears next to each user in the list of Shares under the Sharing form.

Select Multiple Sections

To Delete or Share multiple road cross-sections in one action, click the 'checkbox': next to each of the desired road sections in the Panel list. The 'Share' & 'Delete' buttons at the top of the panel will become active.

To Share the selected sections, click the 'Share' button : a new popup box will appear. Enter the name of the user you wish to share the road sections with, then click 'Search for User'. A new form will appear with a list of ViDA Users that match the name you entered. Choose one and click 'Share Section'.

To Delete the selected sections, click the 'Delete' button : A new popup box will appear with options: click 'Confirm' or 'Cancel'.

This popup box will not list the users that these sections are already shared with. In order to remove these shares, open each Section's share popup individually.
